Jane started at the sound of Tarzan’s voice, but once she realized it was him she smiled and relaxed into his arms, leaning back against him. ”It’s beautiful,” she agreed. ”All of this is. More beautiful than anywhere I’ve ever been in my life. Though I haven’t been many places of course,” Jane added dryly. ”Still. I doubt there is anywhere in the world that could surpass this.”
“Yeah… probably…” I kissed her cheek, and pondered what she said… I knew this place was beautiful. It was the most amazing place I had ever seen… well, only seen. Just as Jane did. But… I couldn’t help but wonder if there were even more beautiful and incredible places than this. Maybe whole new worlds even. Heck, maybe this jungle expanded into something greater. There was no telling what was out beyond the scope of this place. Wherever that cat-looking thing and the… fat, brown… thing… came from, it certainly wasn’t any part of the jungle here.
I smiled at the prospect, glancing at Jane, “One day… we should explore beyond this jungle. Just go swinging beyond the borders of this place… and see what’s out there.”
Jane beamed up at him. While she had deliberately give up (among other things) a chance to travel the world with Rapunzel, to stay here with Tarzan, there was a certain restless quality still in Jane. It was good, then, that she now lived in a region that was not only beautiful and exotic, but also expansive and explorable. Best of all, Tarzan wanted to explore it too. ”I’d love to do that,” she told him. ”As much as possible. Now if only my ankle would heal sooner.” She grimaced.
